Question: Interested in having photography experts examine this photo!?
Hello,
My son and I took a tour of the Stanley hotel!. It's a ghost tour offered through the hotel!. You walk through and take random pictures to see if you can get anything interesting!. I got something interesting but need help with identifying what it is!? Is it a double exposure!? Is it lighting!? Very interested in having someone with photography experience look at it!.

Here's the link: It's 2MB so you can zoom in it!.

Wonderful ghost shot!.

Classic, the bony hand on the banister!.

Just a head with no body or legs showing through the railings!.

And a distorted perspective spectral glob which could be tiny body, or a ghoulish face in torment!.

The EXIF data in the photo appears to show that it was not tampered with!.

A quick check with photo sourcing tools shows the image was not altered in PhotoShop!.

But a little cropping, equalization and leveling, and it is a normal living boy wearing dark clothing leaning over the railing!.

You can see where his body blocks the ceiling coffers!. He seems to be wearing a baseball hat!. You can see his eyes looking up to his right, and his nose on the railing:

You had a shutter speed of 1/10th of a second (I looked up your EXIF info), which is actually rather long in terms of photography!. That is plenty of time for someone in dark clothes to step up to (or away from) that spot, hence the motion blur!.

If you were trying to set this up, you should have made the exposure even longer, so you have more time without that person there, giving you more of a ghosting effect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
