Question: Calligraphy Ink - Refilling and Reusing Disposable Ink Cartridges!?
I have found that the disposable ink cartridge used in my Manuscript calligraphy pen can be cleaned, refilled and reinserted into the pen additional uses!.

I want to refill my cartridge with a gold color Speedball Super Pigmented Acrylic Ink that I have for my quill pen, but when I inserted the refilled cartridge into my pen, the ink would not flow down to or through the nib the same way the black ink did!. I tried to alter the ink a couple of different ways, but it would not flow at all - or it barely flowed to a certain point, then stopped - as though it was too thick!. I even tried thinning the ink out, but that didn't work either!.

Does anyone know if and how this can be done without losing its intense gold color or ink properties, like being acid free, archival, waterproof and permanent!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Gold ink is highly pigmented!.!.!.and will not flow through fountain pens!. This is true for many of the acrylic inks!. Only thinner inks can be used in fountain pens!.

The parallel pens are more adaptable but doubt even they can work with the gold inks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
