What can I use instead of a tripod?

Question: What can I use instead of a tripod!?

I have to do a self portrait project for photography but I don't know how to do it because I don't have a tripod!. What else could I use!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you want to do a picture of you in the grass, you could just lay down in the grass with the camera a few feet away from you on the ground!. Just make sure to set the timer to about 10 seconds so you have enough time to get comfortable and smile/make any facial expressions!. You would probably look like a giant in the picture or something, but you could always say that you're self-portrait conveys that you are "larger than life"!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Put the camera on a tree, bench, picnic table, rock, car, pillar, rock wall, etc!.!. There are so many things outside in this lovely world that you can set the camera on to take a self portrait!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

A table or any other study surface!. It will not give you the control a tripod would but you can make it work Www@QuestionHome@Com

a wheat pack or small bean bag on a chair or table will do it - use the timer or a cable release to fire the shot
