Well first I would talk to the person you work for!. Ask them what they use!.

As for myself I use a few different lenses!. The one I use most would be a 24-70mm F2!.8!. What you will need is a fast large aperture lens!. You can use fixed lenses like a 50mm or 85mm or a zoom!. The zooms are more convenient though!. You will need something relatively wide for the group shots!. The 10-22mm someone else mentioned is way to wide!. You need something like a 16-35mm F2!.8 or an 17-55mm F2!.8!. You will also need something with a bit more reach!. You can also use a 70-200 F2!.8 as well!. The 200mm is longer than you need but something in the 100-135mm range is nice to have!.

With the following lenses you will be all set!.
16-35mm F2!.8
24-70mm F2!.8
70-200mm F2!.8

Again you should check with your boss!. He or she may have some lenses that you can use and may have a particualar style that they want to achieve and will tell you which lenses you need!. Remember to that if you are building your lens collection start with the lenses you will use most!. Quality fast lenses are very expensive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why not ask your mentor what he/she recommends!? A wide angle f/2!.8 zoom is indispensable!. You may want a portrait lens and/or a standard 50mm f/1!.4 for low light!. Zooms are the norm, but some photographers use primes!. It will depend on your personal style and way of shooting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you need a wide for indoor group shoots like a 10-22mm or so, a nice portrait lens like a 85mm F1!.8 is handy also, fast primes are the way, anything F1!.2-F2 is fast and good for weddings, a 50mm f1!.4 or so would get you along way as well
