The abstracts seem fairly amateurish and look too much like a hundred thousand other semi-abstract expressionism paintings!.

I like your two figurative works very much!. These show a much more mature skill level and technique!. You certainly have the talent to become a first rate artist!.

Here is my advice to you! Stay away from any recognizable styles and their influence on your work and try to develop your own unique style!. You have the ability to do this, so don't be creatively lazy!. Develop your art until it is uniquely your own!.

As to the charcoal drawing, it's pretty damn good for a student!. If you had been in one of my classes i would have certainly been impressed with your effort!.

The 'abstract expressionist' paintings look like they're done without any real passion!. If you seriously want to do abstracts, study all the abstract movements that have already faded away and stay away from them!. Create your own unique abstract style!. Don't borrow from others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
