Question: Difference between all purpose sealer and wood varnish!?
Is there a difference between all purpose sealer (this one http://craftsuppliesunlimited!.com/store/!.!.!. ) and wood varnish!? I painted on something with acrylic paint and used a coat of all purpose sealer but it all washed off!. I thought it was the same thing as wood varnish, which is supposed to seal the paint so that it doesn't come off!. But now I'm not sure!. I painted on cloth btw!.

Thanks for your help!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes there is a big difference!. Wood varnish can be water base or petroleum base!. They are not compatible and should not be mixed!.

There is a specific acrylic sealer for protecting acrylic paints!. I use Liquitex satin varnish!.
