If you really think it has historical significance, try taking it to a museum of that nature and see if there are any consultants that can help you!.

Did any of the universities have a look at it!? Taking a well lit, well focused photo from different views and sending them along may help to get an opinion!. I am sure art historians at universities get their fair share of e-mails claiming to have found a treasure and also that most of those are not really worth their time looking at!. You have to convince them that it is worth their time looking at your specific artifact!. Good photos would help!. also contacting an art historian who specializes in the time period and area of the world where you think your bowl is made!. What art style are the figures represented!?
