Question: Which is better!? Nikon 18-200 VR or Nikon 70-300 VR!? (Picture quality)!?
Which one do you like better!? In quality of pictures!? I just got the 70-300 VR, went to the backyard with it and I'm not so sure!.!. Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

They will give you the same results at the same focal length and f-stop if everything else is also the same!. At 300mm it might be a bit fuzzy if you're not able to use a really fast shutter speed!. Don't rely too much on the VR function, if your results at 300mm are too soft then use a monopod!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The 70-300 is pretty "soft" when zoomed to 300mm!. On the other hand, the 18-200 doesn't magnify as much (obviously), so it's perhaps not a totally fair comparison!. I find that with the aperture closed down a bit, and a little sharpening applied, the 70-300 makes perfectly adequate pictures!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have the Nikon 70-300 VR and I find the lens to be pretty good!. I love it!. It takes excellent quality pictures!. I have never used the 18-200 so I have no idea on that one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
