Question: Will the ink on lined paper fad over the years!?
Ok, so a few months ago I started making a list of all the books I have read(from 2008 on)!. I write them in my spiral notebook with ink pen!. One of my friends said she did that a few years ago but stopped because the ink faded and she couldn't read what she wrote!. Is this true!? If so what should I do!? I really want my list!. I plan to continue it all my life!. But I don't want to do it on a special website(I have seen them) because I want it portable, organized in a specific way, and would be less likely to commit to it over time if I did it on the computer!.Help! I ampriciat all your answers!Www@QuestionHome@Com

DEpend on own you store your paper!. If your paper is in a humid place, yes the ink will fade over time, but if you can manage to keep in a relative dry place it should stay good a long long time (simply take the super old book written by old monk, I agree that ink wasn't the same, but they are still readable 5000 years later)!.

If you want to be sure you can always go in specialise art shop and ask for special ink I'm sure if you explain them they'll find you the perfect ink (but it will cost you more then a Bic pen!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ink fades and a lot of the ink we use fades quickly because, in essence, it's cheaper!. If you want to research and shop around you should find some good ink and paper (you'll have to pay more for it)!. Get a fountain pen and learn how to use it!.

It depends what type of ink you use!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

What you want is ink that is 'archival'; this is designed not to bleed out, fade, or otherwise get crappy over time!. And archival paper as well!.
After thinking about it on and off for a couple years, I started such a list, but lost that notebook several months later!. Since then, I have joined librarything*, started a blog on my myspace that I update with what I've recently read, and also added a myspace app** that does something similar!. I'd advise at least checking out librarything; you can use it to find other books you may like by browsing user libraries the site rates similar to yours, read reviews, etc!. and the first 200 books you have on there are free!.
