I've heard a lot of people have good luck with Etsy!.com -- it's one of the least expensive ways to sell online!. They charge a per listing fee and a low percentage of the sale!.

Where you finally go, mostly depends on your style however!. I wouldn't EVER recommend ebay, as you'll end up selling your art for way less than it's worth!. It might be good, on occasion, in order to "get your name out!." But, most artists only use it as a marketing tool!. And marketing is the most important thing when selling on the internet!.

Google the words "artist online communities," and "free art portfolio online" and you'll get quite a few!. Many of them just offer a place to upload several of your paintings for an online portfolio and are free!. Check out this one: http://www!.artistportfolio!.net/
Put your artwork on as many sites as you can!. also check out: www!.ebsqart!.com

The best thing is to get your own website up and running!. You don't have to actually SELL from your website at first!. Redirect potential customers to your online Etsy store (or whatever you choose)!. And then let Etsy take your orders and process the money!. You'll just have to ship it!.
