Actually I think you have some very nice work!. Better than many adults I see!. There are some technical and artistic shortcomings here and there, and you need to take control of your exposure, as many show a point and snap look rather than a planned approach!. But where you succeed, they are very good! Start learning the technical stuff formally, either in books or by taking a class if you can!. Keep learning and practicing, you have the bones to be a very good photographer!. Best wishes!Www@QuestionHome@Com

hello!.

you're well on your way!.

of course, there are no rules to photography!.!. but there are guidelines that can help!.

first!.
never center an image, unless you have a very very good reason!.

second!.
negative space!. Allow room for negative space!. a general design principal is that your one "hero" or center of attention!.!.!. is most strongly conveyed if it is also!.!.!.!. the smallest, the only warm color, the only thing in focus, the only thing out of focus, the only dark, the only light, in some way!.!.!. the sharpest contrast with it's surroundings!. a few general negative space starting places would be the 80/20 principal, or the 1/3 to 2/3!.!.!. you want your most important subject!.!.!. the one you want to make 80% of the impression!.!. to be 20% of the overall image!.!.!. (or 1/3 to 2/3)

look up (on wikipedia or something) the golden section (a math of good design ratios!.!.!. all of life's structures are based on this rule and it looks good too!)

You could also look up passage (pronounced like massage) it's a structural theory of moving the eye through an image most often attributed to the great french painters a century or more ago!.

but like I said, you're well on your way for sure!.

lastly, if you're shooting digital, shoot millions of photos, if you're shooting film, shoot half millions of photos!.!. in my experience, it takes anywhere from 100 to 1000 photos to get the right image!.!.!. the more you do this, and the more you edit it down to "the best" of that series, the sharper your eye and visualization will become!. edit!. edit edit!. reshoot!. edit edit edit!.

and dont forget light! you need to see your pictures like a flat surface!. essentially that is what you're doing, you are taking the 3 dimensional world and transferring it to a static 2 dimensional image!. you're editing out the unnecessary visual noise and telling a story of a moment, or a thing, etc!. light becomes an object or character too depending on how you use it (or don't)

sorry!. one last thing!. look at other photographers stuff!. all!. the!. time!. cut out images you like!. not to copy, but to inspire!.

good luck!.
