No one program can do everything, but Photoshop is the standard!. As for movies - depends on what exactly you are doing!. Are you talking about photo-manipulation in terms of motion graphics/special effects!? Film uses several programs, some very specialized that are usually priced out of reach for the average consumer - a program like Flame runs about $80,000!. USD

CGI is not cheap and very difficult to learn - but photoshop is a key program/skill set!. I would start there!. Maybe take a class at a film school to get a grasp of the basics and to see what you actually want to do!. Post production is a very specialized field - you need to figure out what part of it most interests you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
