Question: What are the possibilities in adobe illustrator cs3!?

my friend recently told me that illustrator was a really powerful program better then photoshop which i have been using for a while now so i was wondering is it possible to make a similar logo design like the versace logo on illustrator!. you know a a greek kinda style but with a different concept!.!.!.

Illustrator is much better at creating graphic logos such as your example!. The vector based graphics will always stay sharp verses the pixelized photos in Photoshop!. I would suggest using the pen tool to draw or trace the image you want!. Just like any other program, it takes time to learn all the tools and capabilities!. Here are some tutorial sites:

I'd be hugely surprised if the Versace logo wasn't drawn in Illustrator, as the other response says the vector based format has many advantages over the raster of Photoshop!.
