Question: How do I get into Chinese brush painting!?

I would like to know where to buy supplies!? How to get started!? What are some good books!? I would like to try Chinese brush painting as it looks like a fascinating art!. Do you have experience with Chinese brush painting!? How do you like It!?

I started with an inexpensive little sumi-e set, with a grinding stone and ink stick, and 3-5 little brushes!. Then I took a class or two!. When you get into it, relax and don't have expectations!. It can be a very relaxing and spiritual meditative exercise !. !. !. especially if you meditate while grinding your ink!. There are many good books on the basics!. !. !.!. find one at Half-Price Books and use what you saved to buy some nice Japanese paper!.

You dont hold the brush like you do normally!.
