Question: Art supply questions!.!?
I know nothing about art supplies and have several art classes because I'm working towards a ceramics major!. okay so here's what I need to know!.

1!.) If I need a round brush that is between 1/4" and 3/8" in width, does that mean I need between a size 12 and 16 brush!?

2!.) can I buy illustration board somewhere in packages for less expensive!? Hobby Lobby sells it for $2!.99 a piece!.

3!.) What kind of tube acrylic paint do I buy and can I get it for less than $4 a tube!?

Unfortunately brush sizes are not perfectly universal, so you will need to check each different brand for the correct size!.

You can usually get illustration board in large sheets and cut it to the sizes you need!. I see it at Aaron Brothers Art and Frame and most art stores!. Call around!. I have heard from my local art store that they are seeing the costs of paper and other supplies starting to go up significantly, so you may have to just pay what they are asking for your board!.

Liquitex makes some inexpensive acrylics called Basics!. So does Art Advantage!.

Go to DickBlick!.com I have good luck with them and they seem very competitive!. They also have their own brands of some products like acrylic paint, gesso, brushes!.

I prefer bristle brushes to synthetic!.
