Question: Gimp Coloring Questionnnn!?
I have a question on how to color something on Gimp!. I just downloaded gimp 2!.!. i've had expirience before with photoshop!.!. but this doesn't seem to be working the same way!. I want to know how i can change the color of, let's say, someones face!.!. as if they were wearing make up, and make it look realistic!? you know!?

In photoshop i'd just make a new layer, change that layer to a color layer, turn the opacity down, and get on it!.!.!. but!.!. it's not working for me like that!.!.!.

The easiest way I've found is this:

1!. Make a new white layer!. Fill this layer to whatever colour you want your selection to be coloured!.

2!. Set the layer blending style to hue!.

3!. Erase everything that you don't want!. Use the lasso with feather edges as to not make the areas you cut out jagged!. Use the smallest eraser size to get rid of extra pixels that the lasso can't get at!.

4!. Go to Colour tools->Hue/Saturation on that layer to change the colour!.
