I think one of the most important aspects to conquer is composition!. I say this because you can do everything else perfectly - lighting & exposure, great focus, even a great subject!.!.!. but if you do not frame it properly or capture it in a way that it eye catching!.!.!. then no one will take a second look at your photos!. A way to work on this, it take your subject that you like and try every angle possible - above, below, crop it out on the side, or get closer up!. Then, when you go back and look at your photos there will be some that you will want to trash, and others that you like!. The more you see photos you like, you will naturally take photos this way without thinking about it!.

Another great tip is to use a tripod!. ( I need to work on that one too!.!.!.!!! ) but with using a tripod you are going to get a crisper, sharper image, and I know I am a stickler for everything being in focus!.

Another idea on the opposite end, is to work with taking all your photos using shallow depth of field!. That way only your subject is in focus, and everything behind it, or around it is out of focus!. You do this by using a bigger aperture that lets in more light, like 3!.5, and you may have to compensate with the shutter and place it at like 250, it all depends on your lighting situation!.
