Question: Should i finish my art course!?
i've been studying fine art at college for two years now (about to go into my third) i've always enjoyed art and i am sure it's what i want to do as a future career but the course i am on is really starting to wear me down, the repetitiveness of spending months on a project i hate doing, barely getting to see my friends outside of college anymore because of the amount of work we have to do to just pass and the endless stress of it all have made me rethink going back to college for another year!.!.!.any advice or tips!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Okay, I'm not going to tell you to stay!.!.!.but make sure you've gotten something out of the class!. Stay as long as you possibly can without killing anyone or cracking under the pressure!. BUT PLEASE, make sure you can walk away with something of educational value!.

I was in the same position!. I went to art school for a total of 3 years!. Dropped out, figured I was doomed to McDonald's Hell!. Slowly but surely, its not so bad!. I'm currently in 2 galleries and working on a one man show!. You just have to keep working at your career!. Art is one of the only occupations that allows this!. Now, dint get me wrong!. Supposedly, it all works much easier if you have that degree under your belt!.!.!.but it can be done as long as you give it everything you got and work on your career just like you were going to work or school or something of that nature!.

I never stop working!. If I'm not painting, I'm meeting with galleries, or I'm e-mailing them, or networking, or getting supplies!.

In conclusion!.!.!.you can quit if you really want to!.!.!.you can make it work either way!. But you can't give up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh yes, please stick at it if you can, it looks bad on a CV to not finish things, and even if you feel you can begin to market your artwork now you might pick up a few extra tips and skills to improve it over the next year!.
I don't know where you're studying but you often get more freedom in the third year to choose your own projects, so you could see if this is going to be the case and start to plan what you could do that would be more enjoyable and useful for you!.
Again, I don't know about your college, but sometimes if you are having any personal or health problems, or maybe just doubts about the course, a college may let you defer your third year and take a year out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, you got two yrs!. under your belt and this is just ONE course thats getting to you!. You got to just stay focused until you get over this hill!. Who knows!.!.!. You may create the next big "Picasso" or a whole new style of art!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
