I have a similar problem!. When ever I do art assignments for class I do a decent job!. But if I'm ever doing any art projects for my own entertainment, I haven't the slightest idea what to use as my subject!. I have some ideas for you though!.
*Paint a detailed closeup of an intricate flower!.
*Paint an interior of a room w/a child playing, or a person getting ready for some event!.
*Paint a window sill with a person looking out or in
*Paint a playground on a rainy day
*Paint some clouds that resemble an object
*Paint a creepy mask on a wall
*Paint a man on a patch of grass w/his best friend (dog)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Landscapes are the easiest!. Paint a landscape!.

I did this with a palette knife using acrylics on watercolor paper!. It took me about ? an hour!.
