No but you really need a killer portfolio to work as one, and college is one of the best places to get it!. Sure, you are usually paying them instead of them paying you (unless you do some of your work study in a graphics department) but the number of skills you pick up (and that you need to pick up) is just incredible!.

You don't need college, but in this day and age, it's nearly impossible to get a job without it!. You can potentially get a job without having a degree for graphic design, but you'll need one helluva lot of examples of previous work, and they had better be amazing!. I would definitely recommend getting the degree, it'll look great on your resume and will make it that much easier on you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
