What digital camera should i buy?

Question: What digital camera should i buy!?

Im about to go to thailand and i need a great digital camera to take photos! i am going to be in thailand for a while so i want a really good camera!. I am only going to pay a maximum of $500!. Which camera should i buy!? If you dont know a model can you please give me a brand!? I leave soon so please!.!.!.!.HEPL!Www@QuestionHome@Com

try an olympus 850sw!. it is waterproof (3m deep) and it is shockproof!.!. 8mega pixel, i bought it last month and the cost was 1264 rial USD372!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are TONS of really good PNS out there look for something that has an excellent zoom range and that has a high megapixel of at "least" 8!. I would Think that "Heretix" had it right with the Nikon SLR though!. Nikon lenses are all interchangeable and they use ziess glass which is super sharp in all their lenses, however I think even a D40 with a decent zoom lends will cost you more than $500!. But I'D still get a Nikon PNS (point and shoot) over any other brand!.!.!.!.Nikon rules!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nikon D40 is good! Get a Zoom lens like a 28-200mm, you're gonna want it when you are at the beach!. But wide enough for a landscape shot for post card style snapshots!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

get a camera with a good lens first of all!. slr or not is up to you but I find the Fuji is a good brand!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
