Question:

I am planning on getting my first tattoo, lining the outside of my wrist, I think it will be quite small, I don't want something that will stand out significantly!. I was thinking of getting a quote of importance to me, but then I wonder if it will be as important in the future!. Then I thought well why not get a small picture!. I was considering a dragonfly, as it symbolizes change!. But it's not that original, and I want something that represents me!. I need help deciding!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am not a tattoo artist but if it is small a picture wont show as much detail but it depends on the picture!.A dragon fly not alot of detail but more in getting the right look and shading!. You need to find a place on you that your comfortable with,look at the size of the picture you want or want drawn for you and see how well it looks sketched at the same size!. Make sure that its something you really want,know the size and if original have it drawn first on your body to see how it looks than decide on whether it is right for you!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am thinking you need to give it alot more thought if you are asking people on here for advice on what will be permanently embedded in your skin!. It will come to you eventually just be patient and I wouldn't do it just for the sake of doing it!. I am a tattoo artist and I have seen alot of freak outs from customers coming in and doing something they really haven't thought out!. I have had work done on me that I regretted from the moment I looked in the mirror!. I would recommend doing something small on your ankle or shoulder to start especially since you are so unsure of what you want and I gather you are getting a tattoo regardless!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
