It would have been worse than doing it on lined paper if you had never done it at all!. That's no reason not to share it if you like it!.

Frankly, I do have a problem with it: a traditional western academic drawing focuses most strongly on form, and often don't show color because it can actually distort the form!.

In your picture there are two elements which are a little worrisome!. Not bad, but worrisome!. 1!. It's very linear!. and in fact most of the lines and the tones are on the outside of the figure -- meaning of course the stripes!. 2!. There is really no light source, so there isn't much sense of form!. You have the shapes and you have the markings, but the center of the image seems a little flat!. If you think about three dimensional form and about the space your cat is in (draw at least a suggestion of the background) it will be a much better picture!.

I'm not suggesting that you rework it, no!. Nor am I saying it's not good!. I'm just saying that these are things you can do to make better pictures!.
