www!.picnik!.com
www!.photobucket!.com
(both those sites have some really nice effects and stuff that you can do with your photos)

Some free download programs: Irfanview and GIMP

I'd suggest you get involved with an online photography community like www!.flickr!.com or an art community like deviantart!.com so that you can get feedback on your photos!. But remember if you want feedback on your photos you have to give other people feedback!. So be sure to give people lots of comments, and you'll get lots of comments in return!. If you join Flickr (which is terrific and has lots of great photographers) and you want quality comments/feedback on your photos, make sure to join this group: www!.flickr!.com/groups/life-thru-a-lenz/ :]

Oh and subscribe to a lot of photography magazines!. Popular photography is a good one!. Hmm!.!.!.

Photography books also help lots!. :) Some basic tips: make sure you have good light (this can be the deciding factor between a really crappy photograph and a really good one), have a clearly defined subject, and make sure that the conditions are just right for your photograph!.

It really depends on what you like photographing!. When you begin, it's good to photograph a lot of things so that you can expand your horizons and get more experience (instead of just flowers or just people etc!.)!.

Oh and if you ever want a photograph critiqued or want constructive criticism, I'm always up for it!. Just give me an email @ unleash!.ya (at) gmail!.com!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not a pro, but when I started out taking photographs I found that the best way to take good photos is to have the camera with you at all times!. Take pics of everything (you can always delete the ones that don't come out well)!. Shooting good pics has a lot to do with knowing your equipment and to be able to know how to shoot with the right adjustments, when that "perfect" shot comes along!.
Just be creative and try out all sorts of backgrounds, objects, lighting!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Practice, practice, practice!. Here's some simple rules:

1!. Fill the frame
2!. Watch your backgrounds (they can be distracting)!.
3!. If your subject is not close-up, DON'T put it in the center of the frame!. Put it a little to the left or right!.
4!. In the beginning, use your camera's auto-exposure mode, until you learn how to manipulate the exposure manually!.
5!. For free photo editing, download GIMP at gimp!.org!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do research just like you are doing!. Take notes about pictures you like what you don't like!. Take your time!. Most importantly, take pictures of things that mean something to you!. The only person you really need to please with your art is yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You need enough training and/or experience so that all the technical aspects of producing perfect exposures AND compelling composition becomes intuitive!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Every time you take a photo ask your self these questions:
1!. What is my subj!?
2!. How can I draw attention to the subj
3!. How can I simplify the photo
