Question: How do i keep clay from breaking

i made a clay figure let it dry and now it's hard how to i stop it from breaking!? do i put in the freezer or leave it in the sun!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

If it is chipping or breaking it has dried too fast!. Patch it up with more clay and have it dry slowly - put it in a warm room and leave it for a day or two!.

If you mean keep the figure from breaking (not the clay cracking) you have to fire it in a kiln to 2000F roughly!. Unfired dry clay is usually fragile!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
