No, It is not solid sterling silver !.To be sterling silver look for a !.925 !. Or sometimes pieces are marked sterling in script!.Value is more closely similar to a plated piece like Sheffield plate!.Any particular style,Modern,Deco or Georgian!?Most likely either a more modern piece or a reproduction would be my best guess!. It would be impractical to try to reclaim and refine the sterling!. No one who buys gold, silver or platinum is going to go to the trouble to mess with these candlesticks, sorry!.
