edward is the main vampire inthe twilight series!.

jacob is the main werewolf in the same series!.

basically, u r hearing a ton about them because the last book in the series, breaking dawn,is coming out august second!.

u r alsohearing a ton about them because all twilight luvers are split into three teams, team edward for those who LOVE edward, team jacob, for those who LOVE jacob (that's me!!!!! =]) and team switzerland, those who like both, but not one over the other!.

basically, team jacon HATES team edward, and team edward HATES team jacob!. this is because vampires and werewolves are mortal enemies, but also because we all wanna protect our love in the twilight series!.
