I basically have a Flickr account which does very well, but other than that I do not really do alot of networking etc!. Any tips on how to get my work around abit!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Some of the suggestions shown indicate that your work will be displayed to other photographers!. I doubt this is what you really need!. I get the impression that you're in search of clients or prospects from whom you may wish to generate some business!. Here are some suggestions!. Set up some local displays on the small scale around your town!. Take photos locally and enlarge them to about 8x12 or bigger!. Locals will quicker buy these shots than shots from your trip to Japan!. Get a spot/booth in a photo exhibition that involves more than one photographer's work!. Do your best to avoid getting caught up trying to impress other photographers while clients aren't seeing your work!. EVERYONE knows a good photo when they see one!. If you want critique and pro advice then join the critique forums where others' experiences and insights can guide you!. However for clientele to grow, forget about other photographers and become the best salesman that you can become!. To succeed in photography as a businessman, firstly focus on getting clients THEN invest in equipment!. Why would you buy $5,000 in camera supplies if you've got no clients!. Seek clients first THEN seek equipment!. MySpace, YouTube and Facebook etc, can be very good and displaying your work to prospects as well!. Many of these competitions are for group shows!.
