The Fuji FInepix 5600 is a good camera offering a solid selection of auto and manual controls!.

It comes in a DSLR format, but does not have interchangeble lenses!.

Is the camera still under warranty!? If so, contact Fujifilm and find out where to send your camera for repair!.

To get the most out of your camera and to learn a little more about photography, consider taking a photo course at your school, local community college or photography center!.

When you've wrung out the most you can learn from this camera, then move up to a DSLR!.

If you are serious about photography, remember, it's the brain behind the camera that makes a great image, not the camera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I had an inbetween fuji I think it was the s700 or something like that!. They really are nice cameras!. Mine took some really nice pictures!. But I bought a canon rebel XT and will not go back to fuji!. The quality is so much better!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For a beginner in digital photography, that camera is good enough!. But if you're really considering photography as a profession in the future or anything of that sort, try looking for a good entry level DSLR!. The Canon EOS Rebel XT or the Nikon D40 or D40x are really good starter DSLRs!. But the camera you have is good enough!. For setting, I recommend you use the manual setting on the camera or "M"!. It gives the user more flexibility and options when taking the photo!. It seems like either something inside the shutter button is jamming it, or you just need to use it more and break it in!. And no there are no lenses for this camera, the lens on the camera isn't interchangeable!. But I'm sure there are a lot of add-on lenses and filters!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
