What's the best media to draw on canvas panels?

Question: What's the best media to draw on canvas panels!?

I find pencils extremely difficult to draft on canvas panels, let alone actually trying to draw with them!. Is their a better, yet still precise tool to do drafts on 5x7 canvas panels!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do you mean draw before you paint!? I would use willow charcoal!. You can get thin sticks of it for precision and it works better than pencils!. If you're using oil paints you could use a thin wash (thin the paint very thin with paint thinner) if you prefer to use a brush!. If you're using acrylics you can thin the paint with water!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Paint, acrylic, oil, paints!. Canvas is really for paint due to it's texture!. If you need to draw, I'd suggest getting a type of paper that you can easily draw on!. Maybe you can frame them or get some thick poster board with the foam backing!. You can use ink, pencil, markers, on thoseWww@QuestionHome@Com
