Question: Lens recommendations for Sony A100 DSLR!?
I am upgrading my equipment from a point and shoot to a Sony A100 wit the kit lens (18mm - 70mm zoom)!. Most of my photography is outdoor landscape and wildlife!. I have been using a Sony H9 but want better quality for use in prints!. The 15X zoom on the H9 is equivalent to about 450mm I think!.

So, for the Sony A100, what lens would you suggest!?

For landscape photography you need a wide-angle - 20mm to 24mm!. For wildlife you need a telephoto or long zoom - at least 300mm!.

Fortunately, any Minolta Maxxum AF lens made from 1985 on will work fine with your A100!. Check on eBay or your local Craigslist or at these reptable sellers:

You might consider the Maxxum 70-210mm zoom with a matched Maxxum 2X teleconverter!. I regularly use the older manual focus version of this equipment!. If you'd like to see examples, go to http://www!.flickr!.com/photos/drifter45h/!.!.!.
