It's blurring caused by movement!. If you had the camera on auto exposure mode, then the camera would automatically use a slower shutter speed and a longer exposure because there wasn't enough light in the room!. A slower shutter speed will pick up movement and cause blurring!. So either the cat moved or you moved the camera slightly while you were taking the picture!. If you take a picture indoors, either use a tripod or try to brace the camera on a chair or something to help you hold it steady!. Most pictures actually do look better without a flash, with using available light and a longer exposure!. But you just have to be careful to keep the camera steady!.

And good luck getting a cat to sit still long enough to take a picture! I've tried and it's not easy! He always has to wag his tail, for one thing!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Looks like you had the flash set to slow synch, or perhaps were using the night mode on your camera!. The flash fires to freeze the subject, but the shutter stays open longer to record ambient light!. If the camera or subject moves, you will get a ghosting effect!. Wedding photographers often use this technique for special effect during dancing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ITS A GHOST!!!!!!

Cute Kitty

The Kitty is living out one of its 9 lives and it showed up in the picture!.

or maybe the Kitty is an Animagus like Professor McGonagall and Professor Lupin or Peter Pettigrew!.

Beware of you KITTY!. It will KILL you while you sleep!.

:)

Oh!. Hope you figure out what caused that in your picture!.!.!.

Duh!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

because of movement; you can see the camera took too long to shoot it and it shows the shadowy ears of the kitty!. Sometimes this happens when batteries are running low, or you can check your menu settings too!. Nice kitty!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Looks like (and I'm not sure, haha) you used the flash!? And the flash captured the kitten, and then the movement that occured after the flash fired!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah, it happened because the kitty came towards the camera as the shutter was closing, kinda like a double exposure, but not quiteWww@QuestionHome@Com

Lighting and Movement together cause it to look like the light was bending!. Cute picture anyways nobody will care!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah it's because of movement, and cute kitty BTW :]Www@QuestionHome@Com

this happens when your camera uses a combination of a long exposure and a flash!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

movement maybe but, mostly because of the type of flash you usedWww@QuestionHome@Com

probably a lighting glareWww@QuestionHome@Com
