Question: Japanese Symbol!.!.!?
Alright, I am not trying to sound ignorant at all whatsoever!.!. lol!. But i am definitely considering getting a tattoo in Japanese writing on my wrist!.!. but i have some concerns on the symbols/lettering!. I don't want to jump at the opportunity unless I knw exactly what I am getting, and that it is correct!.

I want the initials " W!. M!. " (my grandfathers initals) with the symbol of Love below it!. i already know what the symbol of Love looks like!.!. But DOES ANYONE KNOW THE CORRECT SYMBOLS FOR "W!. M!." !? Because i know the Japanese sometimes combine their letters with sounds or something of that nature!.!. so im not even sure if this tattoo will be possible!. :( But IF ANYONE KNOWS THE CORRECT SYMBOLS for Japanese HIRAGANA, KATAKANA or KANJI symbols/lettering!.!. it would be SO helpful!.

Hopefully I made this thorough!. Lol!.
Thank You!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can't change the letters--by itself-- of the English alphabet to Japanese lettering!. Now, if you wanna spell the whole name out, that would be different!.!.!.!. for example:if you wanna just say "W!. 愛 M!." then that's how you'd leave it!. If you want the 'W,' and 'M' to be in hiragana or katagana, you have to use the names instead of just the initials!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I don't know exactly, but as far as I know Katakana and Hiragana are Syllabaries and in Kanji one symbol represents some thing / action / whatever !.!.!. well !.!.!. mostly one word you might say!. So if you tell someone who only knows japanese a name like "Meier" and ask him to write it down he would most likely write "Maya" with the hiragana or katakana for "ma" and "ya", which would make it impossible to separate the first letter !.!.!. same for the first name!. (And by the way: As far as I know the Surname is said first in Japan !.!.!.!. so it would be the other way around!. ;) )

However, as mentioned before I don't know much about the Japanese language !.!.!. so I can't guarantee the information I just gave you is 100% accurate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
