Instead of painting, you could consider putting up a wall mural!.
It's fast, simple and beautiful!. There is a wide selection on the market, you can probably find one that's just perfect for you!.
Murals are still uncommon, so all your friends will admire it!.

Try doing your favorite color in a lighter shade!. Deep browns are relaxing and maybe your favorite color as a bold accent!. My daughter's room is black and white and one wall is black with white speckles on it to tone down the black!. The other 3 are white!. She has one bole hot pink color for an accent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
