depends on whether you want to be literal or symbolic!.

if literal, i would portray a person (face is most important, not necessarily the body -- with a concerned look on his/her face ) amongst a busy, mass of people -- don't actually have to have the mass of people look "real" but just the image of a suffocating, large thing in which this person is hidden!. cammoflage comes to mind for some reason!. could even be a political statement depending on your views of the war!.

more symbolic, i see one of those "one of these things doesn't belong" ideas from childhood (do you remember those!?) a bunch of like items, and then one that clearly doesn't belong!. your "one thing" could be the idea of being lost!.

hope this helps!. good luck!

(boo to the folks who think you should just figure this out on your own! who is to say you can't ask for inspiration!?)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Where's waldo is great suggestion!. I was thinking of a bunch of colorful circles that fill up a sheet/space then in the middle a contrasting color- representing the person being lost in the crowd!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Draw picture of a crowd!. In the middle have a guy half way up a tree, with his hand on his brow, looking around!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if it's your art, someone shouldn't be giving you suggestions on how to symbolize it!. just picture it in your mind and portray itWww@QuestionHome@Com

well crowded, big objects surrounding a discolored small object always creates that feel!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
