Question: Can someone please take a look at this online photography school/course and tell me what you think!?
http://www!.thephotographyinstitute!.com/i!.!.!.

It looks OK!. It's exactly what I'm looking for, but I really don't want to waste my money or get scammed!. I'm just looking for some outside opinions!. Do you think it will be beneficial!?

My goal is to build a professional portfolio and gain the skills I'll need to become a wedding photographer!.

Thanks so much!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It looks pretty interesting but there's no guarantee that you would not get scammed!. I've looked at the course outline and the Faq portion on how long these courses last!. Most of the things listed can be found online or in photography books but having someone explain things to you and answer your question might prove to be better than just reading and trying to figure things out on your own!. If it works, you'll have people who are trained in the field to teach you and help you out!. For $999, I don't think it's a bad investment!.

If wedding photography is what you're looking to get into I'm not convinced that this course will give you all that is needed to sufficiently obtain the knowledge surrounding wedding photography!. I do weddings primarily and base on the course outline, don't feel that I would gain the confidence to successfully do weddings after finishing the course!. It will give you a good idea of photography and the inner workings of it and not just know how to produce an image!. In wedding photography, there's so much that involves experience!. That means going out there and shooting in real world settings!. It takes a couple weddings to really grasp the concept!. A lot depends on many other factors!.

I think the course is worth it but when you are finished, you should also offer your assistance to any local photographers!. There are many photographers that would like the idea of an assistant/second shooter!. You will gain a lot from it and eventually branch out on your own!. To your credit, you should at least have some decent equipments to start!. Although not a real requirement!. This way you already have the equipment that will help you produce images that you can add to your portfolio!. The photographer would most likely take you more seriously!. Ideally, this is how photographers would start out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can save you $1000!.!.!.!. go to Barnes & Noble and buy any photography for beginners book!. You will receive the exact information from that book as you will with this class!.

If you are serious about becoming a professional photographer you should look into going to college!. If college isn't your thing, find a Wedding Photo-Pro in your area and assist for them, you will learn a ton from the hands on experience and observing!.!.!. things you can't learn online!.

This looks like a scam to me,!. and a giant waste of money!. I'm a pro, with a BFA in Ad-Photo, and all of that info was covered in the first weeks readings of my PHOTO 1 class!.!.!. first semester!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know that's iffy but then again I am only 12 But if I was going to collage I would not!.And I different would not ask some one who is 12 so this answer does not even matterWww@QuestionHome@Com
