Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Frederick D!. Ogden was a fairly well known and respected American painter who lived during the first half of the twentieth century, whose landscapes were heavily influenced by the work of the Hudson River School!. He was also one of the first African-American artists to be widely accepted for his art!.

If it's got the title of the painting and the location of the painting stamped on it chances are it's not an original painting but a reproduction!. By the 1920s thousands of prints had been made of his appealing landscapes and city settings!. And much of his art was transferred to greeting cards and magazine illustrations!.

But if it were an actual Ogden original it would be worth tens of thousands of dollars!.

Try to post an actual link to the painting you have, with a good, clear, high rez photograph of it and we can probably tell you if you have an original or a reproduction!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
