Question: I want to become a fasion photographer!. Any tips!?

Okay one of my friend's really really wants to be a model!. She needs a portfolio!. Me and another student photographer are going to be working together to make this work!. I really think theres a shot for all of us!. We have most of the equipment but I would like to know any tips or anything useful to help us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There's lots of folk want to do that as well as you!.
Study the poses set by fashion pros!. and try to set up the same style of lighting!. Many of them now-a-days are using ring flashes to get shadow-less lighting, Don't just use one idea but look at as many - and try as many - as you can!. After all if you are using digital cameras and memory cards, mass exposures are nothing to bother about, all you need to do is scrap the failures after viewing them!.
Most important get your model to study the poses as well!. They can get the pose right while you concentrate on getting the lighting right!.
A full length mirror for them to see how they look will help them to get the pose the same as the one they are copying from a magazine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, you need to have ideas in your mind, not just shooting and see what happens but more to follow your idea!. That way you can concentrate on the light and surrounding!. It's way more effective than finding your idea while shooting!.
