Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
1,000$ Can Get You A Semi-Pro Camera
Much Better Than Just A Good Camera!.!.

let's go through digital first:
You say that you like to photograph nature, artistic views and all of that!. That in and of it self, depends on the lens you attach to the camera, because it's a DSLR!. i don't think they make point and shoot cameras for a thousand dollars, and if they did, you shouldn't buy them, you should get a Digital SLR!. However, money doesn't seem much of an issue to you, so:

http://www!.amazon!.com/Canon-40D-10-1MP-D!.!.!.
that's the canon eos 40d camera, it's a semi-professional camera, which ten megapixels, plus much more, body only, it's along the lines of one thousand dollars, but, it doesn't come with a lens, you'll have to buy a seperate one, or buy it with a EF 28-135mm lens, which isn't going to be good enough for your close ups, and your nature shots!.

for nature, you'll need a telephoto lens:
http://www!.amazon!.com/Canon-70-300mm-4-5!.!.!.
that's the canon EF 70-300mm IS lens, and it's around five hundred and fourty dollars, but that's a large angle of zoom, and you'll quite easily get close to your shots, without having to move much at all!.

http://www!.amazon!.com/Canon-EF-S-Macro-D!.!.!.
this is a 60mm canon macro lens for all of your close up subjects, it's rather cheap at three hundred and seventy dollars, but it's a great Prime-Macro lens, which a nice wide aperture!.!.

time for film, you should spend most of your money on digital because it's much more convenient, but if you really miss the quality of film, and have money to spend, you should get this canon film SLR:
http://www!.amazon!.com/Canon-Elan-Camera-!.!.!.

it's over six hundred dollars, body only, but you can use the lenses from the digital with the film SLR as well, if you're going to buy those expensive canon lenses, it doesn't make sense for you to go and get another brand for the film!.

however, if this isn't quite what you want, go to this website:

For film, I would recommend a Minolta XD-11!. You can still find good used ones on eBay!. Comes with aperature and shutter priority modes, as well as manual!. Hundreds of accessories to cover all the things you want to do!. Especially close up and macro photography!.

Any film camera can do astronomy shots, but being able to connect them to a good telescope is paramount!.

I would highly recommend this website:
