It means that you can only use one, single color, what ever color you choose, and any TINTS or values of that color!.

If, for example, you choose black as the color, then you can use any level of greys, as long as you don't add any other colors to that grey!.

You may use, for another example, a red conte crayon!. You can press hard on the edge of the conte, to make a dark line, or you can shade with the flattened side of the stick, for more subtle tones!. Just as long as you don't add any black or any other colors!.

You can go with oils or acrylics, if you want, but, you have to pick a color and only add white or black to that color!.

It means that you can make your drawing using only one color or hue!. You can not, for example, make your drawing using black, red, yellow, blue, purple, orange!. You can add black and white to it but you can not add another hue all together!. In the end your work is gonna look like a kind of tinted photograph!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It means you can choose ONE color, and use different shades of it!. Example-

You choose Blue as your color!. You can use blue, then add some white to it and make dark blue, or add white to it and make light blue!. You can use any medium(drawing utensil) you want like charcoal, paint, pencil, et cetera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That means you can only use one medium or one tool to make your art piece!. Don't use paint and a pencil!.

I think pencil is defnitely the easiest medium to use!. If you make a mistake, you just erase and also you can go lighter to darker easier and it's easier to control!.
