Matte Medium is a amazing this sort of project!. Its basically like a clear acryrilc paint!. It somewhat expensive, but completely worth it!. It can be found at basically any art supplly store!.

Vist the page bellow!. This gives you wonderfully detailed step by step instructions that apply perfectly to your project!.

Though I usually use matte medium for both my top coat and adhesive they suggest using wallpaper paste as an adhesive and the matte medium as just a top coat!. This, just might work better for your project, but if you choose to used this tecniuqe I would do a test it out with a peice of canvas and photos that will not be missed if ruined!.

There's some really smelly stuff out there called Image Maker!. Its like PVA glue, I'm not sure how you use it properly but I know you need to print your photo out the wrong way round and transfer it down!. It transfers the image, rather than sticks to it!.
