I am assuming that you are working in inches not feet!.!.!.!.therefore get some 1 by 2 inch strips and bevel one edge down at least a 1/4 of an inch , this will be the inside edge of your stretcher !. nail it together and glue triangle wedges in the four corners with them inset 1/4th of an inch!. also put a brace of 1 by 2 at the mid point inset also !. stretch the canvas with a heavy duty stapler or tacks!. Begin at one corner and pull across to the opposite corner diagonally!.!.!.now pull from center two inches from first tack !.!.!.now go two inches in on the other side of the tack and do the same thing!.!.!.now go to the opposite side and repeat this and work out gradually to the opposite corners !.!.!.athe the corners fold the canvas edge under like you were making a bed!.!.!.do not over stretch!.!.!.begin witha modest pull and increase as you work to the opposite sidesWww@QuestionHome@Com
