Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It is important to understand the structure of the person first and will help you understand subtle details you are drawing while you are looking at a photo!. You can start by learning from a human anatomy book ("an alas of anatomy for artists" by fritz schider for example)!. I recommend you start with drawing from Black and white photos first as you can study light and darkness closely!. This should start you off!. Best of luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com The simplest way!? Sit down with paper and photos and draw what you see!. Practice is the primary source of skill!. The more you draw, the better!. Look at other people's art and see how they do things differently!.!.!. how this person defines a subtle shadow on the cheek, how that one uses a crosshatching for texture; how that one has a detailed face but misproportioned hands, etc!. Variety also helps!. Or the classic egotistical artist thing, and look in a mirror and draw yourself!.!.!. make different faces, pose your hands in different positions, and keep drawing!. One classic book is "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain", which has a number of different exercises to shake up the way you see, percieve, and draw!.
