It depends on your camera!. How old and how adjustable is it!? Most print films are daylight balanced!. Even a black and white film will do!. Go for a medium to low ISO, like 100-200!.

You said field; if there's a lot of green, Fuji has great green balance!. Since you're used to digital, get a longer roll!. You'll be surprised how quickly you can burn through 36 exposures! Take two or three rolls just in case!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Kodak makes a slide film, E100VS, that is 100 speed and balanced for outdoor light and rich colors!. However, being a slide film, that means your exposure has to be more accurate than with print (negative) film!. For something as colorful as the auto show (and if you have a good light meter), it's worth the trouble!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would check the weather but if it looks like a sunny day I would just go with a nice 100 ISO film, 400 ISO film is always an all around good film for sunny and shady or if it will be overcast!. Fuji Reala is a good film for true to color film but I'd say any fuji would be good for this occasion since you don't really need warm tones, which kodak will give you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would think 200 iso film would do fine!. But it depends on the lighting situation!. Is it going to be bright and sunny!? Then go with 100 iso!. Or if it is a dark lighting 400 iso would be better!.
