Question: Are you sensitive about your photography !?
I think i am sometimes a bit too much (only when people say i stole the images ) ,though i'm better at it now then when i first started photography !. First time i posted my images up here on yahoo and asked for a critque and someone said it was too crappy to even be in a black and white that i quit photography for 2 months before i started up again !. Though now i learned that negative comments helped me out the most in my photography :)

thank you :)

Heres my photography if you have not seen it yet :

I am not very sensitive to remarks on my photography, but I am older, and have reached the "Pooky Point" where I really don't much care what people think, especially strangers on Y!A!. I do have a kind of mentor, though, and although he is elderly and retired now, I DO listen to any little thing he has to say, negative or positive!. Maybe I won't agree, or change anything because of his thoughts, (or maybe I will) but I know he speaks from years of experience and skill, and he knows his stuff!.

Your sensitivity comes from youth and the relative uncertainty and inexperience that comes from just being young!. So don't worry about it!. Your work has and continues to improve, and is mature beyond your years!. (That's why some folks think you have "borrowed" images to show!.) Those of us who have been watching your progression know better! Don't take negativity to heart, and if it is mean-spirited just let it roll off without further thought!. But do listen to constructive criticism, and apply it when you think it is warranted!. At the very least, it may cause you to think of a thing in a different way, and will expand your creativity!. Best wishes, Annafur!Www@QuestionHome@Com

first Black and White can be utterly beautiful! Sometimes colour actually distracts from the content!.
You have a very good eye!. You see beauty and interest in unexpected places!. This is your vision keep shooting!. Remember there are people out the who just live to nit-pic and find fault!. you know that takes a lot of time and energy that could be better spent creating or contributing and encouraging!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nice photos! I feel the same way about a lot of my work so dont let it get you down and just try to use it to help you!.
Obviously not all comments are helpful so dont fret over the people that just are having a bad day and want to take it out on you!.
Here are some of my photos:

Tell me what you think!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When you get as old as I am, my dear, you're going to say to yourself, "Do I really give a **** about what he / she says about MY photos!?"

You can't please everyone!. Like a musician, not everyone is going to like (all) your songs!. As a photographer, your style may not make everyone happy!. Oh well!.

Sticks et stones may break your bones, but words ain't gonna hurt ya!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if people like, attack me and say i suck, then yeah, i'll take that to offense!. but if they just give me advice on how to improve, then i like it!. lol

OHMYGOSH! you are amazing! what kind of camera do you use!?!?!?!? my camera sucks! i have a nikon coolpix L11
sometimes it take good pics, but not the kind i want!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

first of all, nice photos!.
second, I think once you ask opinions, you'll always get some jerks or people that don't know what they're talking about!.

you need to seriously ask yourself if a negative critique is warranted!. And just take it as constructive criticismWww@QuestionHome@Com

i dont think i am too much, i dont usually listen to what people say anyways when its something like sayig "thats crappy" i only listen to constructive criticism!. i usually dont think my pictures are as good as most people think they are anyways haha

beautiful photos btw :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

What bugs me is when someone with poor images telling me what I should do with my images, but I could care less what anyone says, or thinks about my images!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Once you learn to be your own worst critic you'll be fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have some nice shots!.

People who can, do!. People who can't, become crtitics!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When I started, there was no such thing as stealing someone else's work, so that was never a problem!. I can say that as if it is a defense for never having received such praise, so thank you!.

I am happy if people like my work, but I am not too bothered if they don't!. Vanilla and chocolate, you know!.

There is one guy who really bugged me this year, though!. He's quite a bit older than I am (and still alive, no less!) and he thinks he's hot stuff!. I can tell you – he isn't!. He's spent a ton of money on the "best" camera, but doesn't know how to use it!. We chat from time-to-time and I mentioned my gallery show back in March!. His response was, "That's great!. I've got some stuff you can use!." That was offense number one!. O answered by saying, "You'll have to wait until you get invited if you want to show your stuff!." I'm sure that ticked him off, looking back, but I said it with a smile and a laugh!. He didn't make it to the opening, but I saw him later on and he said that he had gone to the gallery on a different day!. He said, "Yeah, I looked at everything, but the only stuff I really liked was Rachel Cobb's!." Okay, Rachel Cobb is a pro who has somewhat of a reputaion, so she's good!. I liked her stuff, too!. (Apparently there is a more famous Rachel Cobb, but here's a link to the one who was in the same show as me: http://www!.weedyacres!.com/ ) But, talk about nerve! He could have at least picked out ONE of mine to comment on!. I mean, I had 25 in the show! Anyhow, that's about the only time I can think of when someone said something (indirectly) negative about my photography and it got under my skin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
