Most photo programs have both pixel and inch choices when resizing!.

If you tell us what program you are using someone here may be able to give you specific instructions!.

However 500 pixels = 1!.667 inches at 300 DPI and 500 pixels = 6!.994 inches at 72 DPI

So besides the physical size, you need to know what DPI is needed for you project!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

On photo shop elements look at the top and click on "image", then you will see "resize" click on that!.!. Then a box opens up click on "image size" The a widow opens up and you will see the current image size in pixesl on the top is height and the bottom is width- type in the dimensions you want to change the image to!. The image will reduce to the size that you told it too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

4!.75 x 4715 does not equate to 500x500
