I couldn't find any of those myspace/photoediting sites that do what you're asking for, so im not quite sure if what you actually wanted was help creating it with an image editor(!?)!. i modified a similar tutorial i had written previously to try to explain it to you in terms of using an image editor

For starters, because the image you want to create is animated, you want an image editor that is capable of creating animated images (GIF images)!. To be honest with you, it's actually quite simple to create the image you want- as long as you have the correct software (and SOME general knowledge to go along with it)!. What makes this difficult, however, is the fact that you have no prior experience editing images, or (especially) no experience with using image editing software- it's necessary to have a basic understanding of the tools, concepts, & terminology that accompany them before you're able to do this!. What i can do though, is give you some simple, generalized directions anyway!. Then, once you have the correct application, (and have also familiarized yourself with it), these directions should make much more sense to you, and you can then probably make your animated banner!. *(keep in mind that i am only describing 1 approach, as there are always many approaches when it comes to graphic design)

-Before i begin, i'll give you a brief description of how an animated image (or GIF) is put together- as i'm sure you know, an animated image is actually a series of single images- or what are called "frames"- that, when put together in order, appear to be in motion (like those cartoon flipbooks)!. Keep this in mind, as your image editor will have you create GIFs (animations) in this way!.

*Please also keep in mind that, because all image editors will not work the same way, you will most likely have to modify my instructions accordingly!.

CREATING THE ANIMATED BANNER:

- the image you want to create is an animated banner containing an image of your friend!. The animation sort of resembles the panning up & down of a camera!. Take a moment & think about how you could replicate this using frames!?

-When you start up your application, you'll want to "Create New Image", & depending on your editor, you'll want to choose to make a GIF!. If you want it to be the same size as your above inspiration image, then make it 460x80 pixels!.
-Remember, the GIF is made up of separate "frames"
-Now, separately, open up the picture of your friend you want to use!. (make sure that any necessary edits to your friends pic are already done- you need her picture to be the same width (460 pxls) as the GIF, and approximately 5-10 times the height-> more height=more frames)
-With the image of your friend active (which from now on i'll refer to as IMG2, and the GIF as IMG1), choose the rectangle selection tool!. Click-drag (anywhere on the image at this point) to make a selection with 460x80 as its dimensions (same size as IMG1, the GIF)
-Now you want to move the selection all the way to the top of the image so that it is selecting the very top 460x80 portion of it!.
-Copy what's in the selection (CTRL + C)
-Go back to IMG1 (the GIF), and make sure you are in the first frame!. Paste the portion of IMG2 that you just copied (CTRL + V) into it!. Your first frame is now complete- it should bea replica of the top portion of IMG2!.
-Go back to IMG2 (your friend)!. Move the selction down slightly!. Now copy again (CTRL + C)
-Now, again, go back to IMG1, and make sure you are now in the 2nd frame!.
-Paste (CTRL + V)
-You are going to continue this, each time moving the slection down slightly, copying, and pasting into a new frame, until you get to the very bottom of IMG2!. These frames, together, will produce the panning DOWN effect!. If you want to pan back up (like it does in your sample banner), then you want to duplicate all of your frames, but going backwards!. For example, let's just say you have 5 frames total: F1, F2, F3, F4, F5!. You now want to duplicate each frame so that they are in the following order:
F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F5*, F4, F3, F2, F1

*try it both with & without duplicating F5, or your last frame, & see which way you like it better- duplicating the last frame will give a slight pause before it pans back up)!.

The rest you'll figure out on your own- the text should be easy- use the text tool!. There are many free image editors out there, though none add up to Photoshop, which is King!. PS does though have a free trial download!.!.!.good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

usually the myspace editor sites have thatWww@QuestionHome@Com
