lol, okay first of all, the word "drawer" isn't a real nor is it a very professional word!. If you're trying to become a good artist, i suggest you use that word!. ^^

nice picture of alphonse elric!. and i've been in your position too, where i couldn't draw anything that i wasn't looking at!. Or i was stuck doing fanart and nothing else!. I gotta tell ya, it's hard getting out of that, but what i suggest is the most simple solution: practice!.
Try starting small!. Use a picture for a reference but use the pose, not the character, and make another character from the pose!.

After a while, you should get used to it, and can start developing your own poses and characters!. Try to refrain from going back and drawing a picture that has already been drawn once!. Then try to avoid fanart overall!. I suggest trying to develop your own character!. You'll be excited about drawing and honing your character, and you'll be able to draw then without references!.

I went through the same process, but now it's a lot easier!. You can see my whole process here: subaku-kun!.deviantart!.com!. I have a lot of journals about my non-fanart streak!. ^^ There, you can also decide if I'm a "good drawer" or not!.

Hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i would comment about your picture on photobucket, but my comment would vary depending on your age and if you have ever been in a class or had lessons!. advice!? learn proportions, practice symmetry, work on shading, shading is important!. of course, you can be more creative with these things in anime and manga!. if you ever cross over to realism though, those three things are keyWww@QuestionHome@Com

A simple thing to keep in mind when sketching, if your looking at something is to tell yourself that your just drawing a line, one line at a time, a collection of lines that ultimately become your drawing!. My teacher gave me this helpful hint that I keep in mind everytime I'm drawing something, it really helps!.

I don't get it!.!.!.I tried to put a link up of one of my drawings and it wouldn't let me!. Anyone know why that is!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Draw!. After you draw for a little bit!.!.!.go draw!. Once you've finished sitting down and drawing the second time, draw some!. If you get tired of drawing!.!.!.just draw some more!. If you're hungry!.!.!.draw!. If you're tired!.!.!.draw!. Draw while you're drawing!. Draw!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You really have to practice!. And it is ok if you have a visual aid to help you with your drawings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I remember when I was a kid!. I started drawing by printing out pictures of DragonBallZ characters and I bought DragonBallZ magazines!. I used to practice and practice till I got a single picture right and when drawing the picture was like a reflex and I didn't even need to bother whilst drawing it anymore!. Obviously as I moved on to the next picture I forgot about the previous one and how to draw it but in the process of copying these pictures and drawing characters in different stances I began to understand how the artists do it!.

Not only did I draw anime characters but I also drew objects in my home or for that matter anything I saw on TV!. (Drew a picture of the titanic, wasnt all that good because I was young but it looked like a great 3D cartoon version of the ship)

You have to have a super imagination to draw good things!. I can draw anything which comes to my mind now but the main thing to remember is that you wont just get the perfect picture!. Professional anime artists often have to rub out parts of the characters they are drawing!. For example if I were to draw an anime character but I noticed that one of his arms didn't look right in the final picture I would fix it up so it would!.

When drawing an anime characters face you need to draw a circle or a kind of egg shape!. Then one line across the shape and one down it!. (Both lines must intersect) Now the line which is going across the shape will represent if the character is going to be looking up or down, where his nose is going to be and the line going down from the top will represent which way the character will be looking and where his ears will be!. From here you can make a body in any different form you want!. (You can draw a stick body to show how the shape should be but don't use it to make the overall body) and add features from there!.

Im not professional artist but I can draw some pretty good characters now its all about how your imagination is really!. If you can take snapshots of your own imagination and then draw 'em you can produce some really nifty stuff!.

Good Luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
