if your grandfather is not around, i would recommend you take it to your local library's archives (if you are in the area where its taken) or if you know the city in which its taken in send it to their archives!. They might have some people who can help!. also if you know around which year the photo was taken, sometimes you can go to the newspapers to find something about an event!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

put it up here and asks if anyone recognizes the background!. ask your dad or mom or grandfather or grandmother if they are still alive where it was taken, if they dont know then guess his age in the picture and ask them where he was living when he took that picture!. then if you cant tell after looking around that town, maybe you can send a copy to a historical museum or society in that area and see if they cant find out for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If your grandfather is still around, he would be the best source!. That's why it's a good idea to put some sort of note on the back of every photo of that sort!.

If he's no longer around, and his generation is all gone, then you will need to do some sleuthing to find out!. You could scan and post a copy of the picture online and hope someone recognizes the building and statue!. Good luck!

Interesting building and statue!. Sorry, but I don't have any idea where it is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
