There is no right or wrong lens here, it all depends on what YOU want to capture and show to others!.!.!.

A lens with 28~200 means it can see from wide angle (28mm) to telephoto (200mm) and anywhere in between!. Say 137mm!.!. This is a good all purpose walk about lens and would do good in any situation you wanted to use it in!.

At a house party you could use the 28mm part to get the room full of people, but at the same time, zoom in to capture just heads, faces or whatever!.!.

For land scape, again the wide part is good for scenic views, sunsets and what not but you can still zoom in to isolate part of the view and use it as selective in-camera cropping!.

There are no indoor or out door lenses!. All are good where ever you want to use them and for any reason!.

A 28 mm lens will give you fairly good wideshots, and a 200 mm lens will give you closeups!.!.!. but it really depends on what kind of photos you want to take!. For more widescreen or panoramic landscape shots, you may want to look into a wide angle lens!. But for the most part, any lens will work for outdoor and indoor photography, I think, but depending on the lighting you will have to change your shutter speed and aperture, unless you rely on the automatic settings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes you can use this lens for that!. However bear in mind that optically these long range zooms are not that good!. If you are not intending to make A3 size prints then you should be fine!. This zoom range is fine for a 35mm film camera but on an APS-C digital you have a 1!.5x factor on the zoom range!.Post the camera model and the zoom lens model on yor question for a more correct answer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
